“Harry, Hamlet and I” is both a love story and an intelligent psychological thriller inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet dealing with themes of love, betrayal, duty, family, identity, spirituality and madness. Set in Dublin’s inner city, the film is a very contemporary approach to quite a classic Shakespearian narrative. We wanted this classic tone to be portrayed in the titles as an undercurrent, surpassed by suggestions of the film’s key motives of death, drugs, betrayal, confusion and of identity and insanity.
